This company hit it out of the park. I got a 50 year warranty gaf certified roof and it was done in one day with a crew that worked perfectly. I received four quotes three from big box national roofing companies and Universal J&S Construction Inc. came in at least 20% lower than everyone else I felt comfortable with the owner and his sales team. They didn't pressure me to sign on right away like the other quotes I received. They offered monthly payment financing at a very low rate and I even hired them to do my camper because it had some water damage on it. Since then my sister-in-law has hired them and she has been extremely satisfied with their work and more than happy with their prices. What I liked the most about Universal was from the second they started the job I received live pictures of each process as they were doing the job. It was impressive to say the least. Do yourself a favor and call on Universal for anything roof related they are the best.

When I bought my new home, I knew a new roof was going to happen in the next few years, but I was not planning on replacing the roof immediately until I was encouraged to by insurance. Stressed out by this unexpected expense and project, I started contacting roofers. Universal J&S came by and blew me away with their price. When I hired them, we made an appointment for the following week. They came on a Friday, and I had a new roof in 5 hours. Cool thing was how they texted me live updates and images of the roof. They did everything right and now I have a brand new, beautiful looking GAF certified roof! Highly recommend.

They said they would be there at 7am and they were! They were the hardest bunch of workers. They stayed till the job was done, then did great job cleaning up!

Replace roof on house and garage, flash chimneys, replace gutters and install 2 new windows. Excellent communication throughout the project. John answers the phone when you call and keeps you informed. Handled all the permit process. Explained the process and kept me updated with real-time pictures on cell. Excellent work done in a timely manner. They also corrected work that was not done correctly by a previous contractor. Cleaned up completely when the job was done. Very professional and well-run company. Would highly recommend to anyone. I wish all contractors were like universal J&S.

I had a leak in my roof which required replacing of plywood and laying down new shingles. I quickly received a phone call from John after searching here on Home Advisor. John was able to come out, take a look at my roof and advise me of my options. I appreciated John presenting me with options rather than only presenting me with the most expensive one. John's crew came out within a week of me first contacting J&S and like an efficient machine guys were up on the roof stripping off the existing shingles. I want to note that one thing I thought was neat was while the work was going on, the crew was sending me pictures of the roof at different stages. This allowed me to just keep working and satisfied my natural curiosity about how a project like this gets executed. I would recommend them to any friends or neighbors who require work done on their roof.

They are really good and fast!! They came when they said they were going to come, they helps us with a tarp until they were ready with the permit. Really nice guys!!! I would recommend them to anyone.

John is a people person...The first time he came to my home I was not available but after reviewing all my options and decided to work with Universal J&S Construction Inc, John took the time to make another visit to my home to meet me in person and to discuss all my needs for the project. I recently had a small section of roof shingles tear off during a high wind storm. Heavy rains were also expected within the following 1-2 days so I needed a prompt repair. I found Universal J&S Construction on HomeAdvisor and they were the first to return my inquiry. John was very prompt and professional in coming by the house, providing a quote and scheduling the job. Jeff, who did the actual repair, was also very professional and did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend Universal J&S for any roof repairs you may have. I found their work ethic & customer service to be far superior to the contractors that I ve dealt with in southern New Hampshire so far.

I hired Universal J&S Construction to change a few plywood sheets and repair the shingles on the roof. A crew of 5 people came to do the repairs. I watched them the entire time and they were very efficient. They were very professional and organized. The crew cleaned the area and made sure they did not leave a nail on the ground... Really! The guy looked through some of the shrubs to make sure they had all the nails. Before they left, they collected all the trash and set it aside. Someone subsequently came by to haul the trash away. I will definitely contact them again if I need anything further.

We had a tree fall on our house and needed the entire back half of our roof repaired. We also needed a 16 foot section of fascia, soffits and gutters replaced. From beginning to end, service was excellent. Honest, empathetic, helpful, and straightforward. They even pointed out a problem with our chimney and patched it up for us to prevent further damage. Highly recommend!
